The ecoDrive program was set up as businesses were concerned about the impact of driving on the environment.
ecoDRIVE helps businesses to take action against climate change by planting native trees that remove carbon from the environment. In addition, these forests create habitats for wildlife such as Koalas, Parrots, and Kangaroos. Forests are legally protected for 100 years, and if a tree dies, a new one is planted in its place. Plants are specifically chosen to support endangered local wildlife habitats.
Upon request, your business can receive an e- Certificate from Business Fuel Cards that shows the number of trees that have been planted and the expected amount of CO2 absorption created by the ecoDrive program. Carbon sequestron is measured using the strict Full Carbon Accounting Model (FullCAM) developed by CSIRO. They are also independently audited by Ernst & Young.
